Rather than cut R&D when times got lean, DMIC put emphasis on new product development. Now that the economic malaise is beginning to wane, the strong lineup of upcoming DMIC products for diverse sectors will help bring new sales opportunities to your company, with the right product at the right time. This month, we present the new BVALP Low Profile 2½"-6" valve for Suction-250 PSI, and BVFQ Fire Safe series for fluids & gases. Both valve series are shipping now, with Spec Sheets, product info, and sharp-pencil pricing ready for your new projects and sales prospects. Both models are Made in U.S.A. The point of using a large bore inlet line in complex power units is to avoid problems. This month, our Engineers (including a college hydraulics teacher emeritus) present the first DMICTechTalk article, on Cavitation. Learn about best practices on sizing guidelines, with a spotlight on the DMIC 'SSW' Power Unit Layout System. Thank you for reviewing our New Product Announcement. If there is any application where we can offer selection assistance or pricing, for standard or custom products, please don't hesitate to contact me at 1-800-248-DMIC or by email. |

DMIC TechTalk, Issue #1: Cavitation |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Luckily, cavitation can be prevented. When designing a suction line for your pump, the fluid velocity should be under 5 fps (feet per second). High suction line velocities may result in low suction line pressures and the possibility of pump damage due to cavitation. DMIC's SSW components can help prevent costly pump failures, with their full bore design and smooth flow passages, to reduce flow restriction and fluid vaporization. |

| Spotlight: DMIC SSW Power Unit Layout System |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
DMIC's SSW System works with BVAL and BVALP suction valves to provide O-Ring sealed connections for your HPU inlet all the way to the pump, from ¾" to 6" sizes. Although they cost more than NPT plumbing fittings, it's almost impossible not to save money by specifying DMIC SSW !
